Mission Statement
Kewanee Alternative Education Program's mission is to prepare students who may be having concerns in certain areas in the mainstream education and return them better prepared to meet those challenges.
We work in four areas:
1. Behavior
2. Responsibilty
3. Attendance
4. Academics
Classes are in attendance from 8:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Each student is given a daily sheet which communicates with the student and parent how well they are doing in the four areas mentioned above.
Students at the Alternative Program also participate in a computer based program called Novel Stars which is a credit recovery program. This program helps students earn back credit they need for graduation. Click here to contact our staff.
